On the day of the move bring irreplaceable or expensive items in your car. This will include fragile items, personal records, television, computer, jewellery, etc. Make sure that they are secured and will not block your field of vision when driving. Try to make your move on a weekday because services such as utility companies and banks are open, in case you need them. Prepare a separate box to hold items that might be needed before you have unpacked your belongings. Keep a change of clothes and some clean sheets in your car so it would be easier to get them after the day is over.
